Half German/half Jamaican singer Amber Mark is currently sharing a hugely impressive new single entitled ‘Way Back’. Lifted from her forthcoming debut EP 3:33AM, which has been penned as an ode to her late mother, Mia - ‘Way Back’ continues in the same vein as her well-received previous tracks, S P A C E, and Monsoon - whilst introducing elements of euphoric electronic pop into her brand of soulful, alternative RnB. With a gloriously infectious chorus, and endearing, personal lyrics - Amber is an intriguing proposition. Her occasional use of tribal sounding percussion shows she’s keen to pay tribute to her roots - but she elegantly partners these nods to her upbringing with a modern flair - which is impossible to resist. Amber Mark’s debut EP 3:33AM is set for release this Autumn, and we would imagine it’s going to be pretty special. -JC
